Frying foods: Does anyone have any tips on frying foods? Oils, times, safety measures?

The Goose asked:

We are going to fry an assortment of things tomorrow for the Superbowl. We have a turkey fryer and peanut oil, but we also have a personal fryer. I want to fry stuff like twinkies, snickers, etc. Just random fun things.

Looking for some input so no one gets sick or hurt.

Thanks.

I wanted to bulid a pit with brick surround and fill it with a thin flat layer of sand to rest the fryer on. Would that be a good idea for safety reasons or are there other suggestions. Seeing as the grass will be dry that time of year.

I would want the true recipes of the famous pancakes, of the marvelous Cheese cake and the recipe of the turkey for the Thanksgiving day. I ask you him because here in Italy your recipes are not found, but only of the copies. I thank a lot you for the help and I apologize me for the English!!!

Does anyone have a good Traeger recipe for a turkey?

bubbles69fun1 asked:

I have had a Traeger grill for a couple of years now and have always done the Thanksgiving turkey on it, however misplaced my recipe. It went something like brining it for 24 hours and then smoked it and then cooked it in a pan with a bottle of red wine and a bottle of beer. If anyone has that recipe I would truly appreciate it. Also looking for a really good recipe for ribs off my Traeger wood pellet grill.
